The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reported on Tuesday that they repelled an attack by Turkish-backed mercenaries near Manbij (Minbîc), Syria. The clashes resulted in the destruction of enemy vehicles and the elimination of several combatants.
In a statement, the SDF detailed that their forces “repelled an attack by Turkish occupation mercenaries on the village of Imo Tomb, east of the city of Manbij.” They noted that “violent clashes are currently ongoing between our forces and the mercenaries in the area.”
The SDF also reported success near the Qara Quzak (Qere Qozaq) Bridge, where they “destroyed a vehicle belonging to the Turkish occupation mercenaries, resulting in the elimination of two mercenaries.” Additionally, they mentioned a Turkish drone strike at the Serrin city junction.
On the Tishreen Dam axis, the Manbij Military Council “effectively thwarted an attack by the mercenaries on the villages of Mahshiyat al-Tawaheen and Khirbet Tueni in the Abu Qalqal district,” leading to numerous enemy casualties. The SDF also seized two tanks, artillery, and destroyed multiple enemy vehicles.

Despite ongoing clashes, the SDF and Manbij Military Council remain resolute in their mission to defend their homeland. The 16-day campaign has not only repelled enemy forces but also demonstrated the SDF’s ability to adapt and respond to evolving battlefield challenges.
