The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), led by Mazloum Abdi and Rohilat Afrin, has vowed to defend against attacks by Turkey and its allied factions. Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, the commanders outlined their stance on key issues in Syria, including territorial defence, displacement, and dialogue with all parties.
Mazloum Abdi and Rojhilat Afrin’s key statements are as follows:
– We will defend our people against all forms of aggression.
– We have the strength to protect our people in Manbij (Minbic), Raqqa (Reqa), and Deir ez-Zor (Dêrazor).
– Efforts to relocate our people from Shahba (Şehba) are ongoing.
– We advocate for dialogue and resolution, maintaining communication with everyone, including Turks.
– The withdrawal of Syrian government forces from several areas has created a new military and political reality in Syria.
– Our fight against ISIS continues.
