Muzaffer Hussein and his two sons, Mohammed Muzaffer and Mubin Muzaffer, were buried in their hometown of Hajiawa, the Sulaymaniyah Governorate of Iraqi Kurdistan, on Thursday 5 September, with hundreds attending the ceremony.
The family were killed on the afternoon of 4 September when a Turkish drone strike hit their car while they were on the road between Khalakan and Kani Watman. A local citizen reported that it was a direct targeting of the car.
The bodies of the victims were laid to rest at the Makok Cemetery in Hajiawa. Many relatives, friends, Kurdish patriots and local residents attended the funeral.
