Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes on the villages of Meçi (Mêcî) and Burçiyan (Burciyan) in the Amedi (Amêdiyê) region of Iraqi Kurdistan on Saturday, according to local sources.
The strikes resulted in a large fire that has spread across the area, causing significant damage to homes and agricultural lands.
