Women in North and East Syria launched the set of events and protests in various cities form Hasakah to Manbij on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Women took to the streets in Hasakah and commemorated Seda Feysel El Hermas and Hind Letif El Xidar, the two Autonomous Administration of North East Syria (AANES) officials killed in Al-Hasakah.
Al Khadir and Al Hermas were shot dead on 22 January after being kidnapped by ISIS.
Tabqa Women’s Administration organised a march with their banners portraying the assassinated AANES officials Al Khadir and Al Hermas as well as Arin Mirkan and other Kurdish female fighters who lost their lives while defending Rojava.
The Coordination of Kongreya Star, a confederation of women’s organisations working to unify the front of women’s struggle in North and East Syria organised a panel in Ain Issa, female representatives of the political organisations held various visits in Manbij. The women visited defence fighters who got injured during the clashes.
