Fires broke out again at three points of Mount Cudi in Turkey. The fires have been spreading after further military operations were launched in the region.
Reportedly, the fire was spreading rapidly in the Geliyê Hirça region. The people living in the villages around Mount Cudi stated that the fires are not extinguished for long periods. Due to the military operations launched in the region, villagers are trying to extinguish the fires on their own. There have reportedly been no attempts by the authorities to extinguish the fires.
The slopes of Mount Cudi have been experiencing forest fires for weeks. The fires, have spread across a vast area, and are destroying the environment and areas of habitation. Many animals have been killed by the fires.
