A Turkish military convoy entered Syria on Tuesday through al-Rai border crossing in the rural area north of Aleppo and headed towards the al-Bab area in the countryside to the east of the city, North Press Agency reported.
The convoy consisted of military equipment, tanks, and personnel carriers, as well as ammunition vehicles, a special source said. “It entered through al-Rai crossing and headed towards the al-Bab area.”
The convoy proceeded towards the contact lines separating the government and the Turkish-backed factions in the city of al-Bab, east of Aleppo, the source added.
Meanwhile, the Syrian government forces and Iranian-backed militias have sent military reinforcements and stationed them in and around Tell Rifat, and have set up earthen berms as obstacles to military vehicles.
