The Turkish state and its mercenaries have been attacking Ain Issa and its surrounding villages since 18 November 2020.
A new military post, which has been constructed by Turkey, has recently been observed, north-west of Ain Issa on the strategically important M4 International Highway.
According to the footage, the new military posts are built close to other military posts set up by Russia and the Damascus government.
As a result of the continuous attacks civilians have been targeted and have suffered badly .
After an attack against the district carried out on 4 January, Latife El Şedad and Qusey Hasan was injured.
A relative of El Şedad, Ahmet El Şedad, stated that his house was targeted during the offensive and that his relative was injured, adding that material damage also occurred in his house and garden.
Ahmet El Şedad said, “We are just ordinary villagers. We live here with our family and neighbours. Suddenly the bombardment began and rockets fell on our house and garden.
Attacks continue
The Turkish state has been targeting Ain Issa since 18 November when Turkish-backed armed groups attacked the village of Mişêrifê in northeastern Syria. Toxar village in Manbij, Tell Tamer, and Zirgan are localities that have so far been subjected to attacks. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have stated several times that they will resist attacks by using legitimate defensive tactics.
