Antonik Bedros’ family escaped from the Armenian genocide in 1915 and settled in Northern Syria (Rojava). Pottery is his profession and he has been making pottery ever since he was 12 years old.
His son Antonik has also has been been in this profession for 25 years. He learned pottery from his father. Whilst they continue with the profession, they do not earn enough money from it to make a living. Their art of pottery is under threat of being forgotten and lost.
