Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız’s guards and relatives murdered Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar and his sons Adil and Celala before the 24 June election in Turkey in 2018.
In protest, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar are demonstrating with a sit-in outside the Şanlıurfa (Riha) courthouse.
The Şenyaşar family case indicates Turkey’s attitude towards Kurdish people.
Fadıl Şenyaşar, who was seriously injured during the incident, was arrested. But the murderers were not.
Police did not let reporters near the demonstration, according to a Mesopotamia Agency report.
