The people of Qamishli in northeast Syria shared their calls for the unity of the people in the Middle East for a peaceful solution in Syria.
Arabic, Kurdish and Assyrian people living in Qamishli talked to Hawar News Agency, stating that they are making an initiative for a peaceful solution by standing shoulder by shoulder together
“We will unite and struggle for a democratic country all together. We will increase the resistance,” said Ketrîn Al Halef, a citizen living in Tirbespiyê.
Another citizen Berzan Silo said, “Democratic nation project represents the will of the people. This project is a successful model, which needs to be applied throughout the whole of Syria.”
Aibtisam Silêman, a resident of Qamishli stated, “The people should unite in order to save the Syrian territories from the occupation of Turkey.”
An Assyrian resident, İsa Denho, concluded. “The Turkish state’s assault in North and East Syria is destined to lose against the unity of the people. We, the peoples living in Syria for centuries, have always shared and will always share the same destiny,” he said.
