Süleyman Soylu, the Interior Minister of Turkey, has announced that a circular has been issued regarding Covid-19 restrictions, including a music broadcast ban as of 12 pm on 9 September across the country. The decision was taken as Covid-19 cases have mounted in Turkey.
According to the restriction requirements as outlined in the circular, wearing face masks is mandatory in all public areas except houses. The restrictions were prepared and endorsed by the Science Committee and issued on the instructions of the President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Public transportation vehicles will not be allowed to work at over-capacity. Music broadcasts will not be allowed after 12:00 pm in cafes, restaurants and entertainment venues under any circumstances.
Under the coordination of local governors, law enforcement units will take all necessary measures to enforce these orders.
All public areas will be examined to ensure compliance with the restrictions.
Governors and district governors have been authorized to maintain control and to undertake necessary precautions.
