The Turkish state launched a military operation against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Metina, Avaşin and Zap region in Iraqi Kurdistan on April 23.
As reactions increased across Kurdistan, people of Iraqi Kurdistan also reacted military operation of Turkey.
People from the Koyê district in Hewler condemned Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for remaining silent about ongoing assaults and called on everyone to react against the attacks.
Resident of Hewler Aras Halid said, “Actually, the Iraqi Central Government and the Regional Administration should put a limit on these attacks. The people of Iraqi Kurdistan do not approve of these attacks. One day Iraqi forces attack, another day ISIS gangs, and neighbouring countries on another day.”
Other residents from the region also criticised recent incidents and the general attitude of the KRG.
