Events and meetings are being held to mark the date (15 February) when Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan was imprisoned and the alleged conspiracy against him began.
A well-attended meeting was held in Kobane, northeast Syria, in which the Democratic Union Party (PYD) held a panel discussion ahead of the 22nd anniversary of the conspiracy against Öcalan.
Speaking in the meeting, a PYD Euphrates (Fırat) Region Executive, Mîdiya Kobanê, commented on the incidents that followed the conspiracy, saying, “Our people living in North and East Syria should pay attention to the developments occurring in the area and consider which policy they will adopt against our enemies”. He added that invaders aimed to extinguish the Rojava Revolution and peoples’ lives under the Autonomous Administration.
