People around the world are continuing to speak up and condemn Turkey’s ongoing cross-border military operations against both the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and North and East Syria.
Protesters in Turkey have been detained for opposing the attacks, while in Europe a German MP has spoken out to demand an inquiry into allegations of chemical weapons use. Four hundred Kurdish journalists have also issued a statement condemning the attacks.
In Iraqi Kurdistan meanwhile, an NGO representative has put the spotlight on ongoing abuses committed by the governing authorities against their own people, which she says is reminiscent of the actions of Saddam Hussein.
