Kurdish people and progressive forces took to the streets in Turkey on 1 September to call for peace in rallies throughout the country.
Spokesperson and co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Saleh Muslim, recently spoke to Medya News concerning the UK requests for the return of ISIS affiliate Shamima Begum. The ‘Peace Mothers’ were attacked by police in İstanbul when they called for true peace on the International Day of Peace.
In other news, a Kurdish woman begins a hunger strike to protest the poor treatment and death threats her son has received while staying in a prison in Diyarbakır.
