“Today, the leader of anti-semitism is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who also created the Islamic State and al-Qaeda and maintain the “Brotherhood” (Muslim Brotherhood) ideology, which is the Arab version of Nazism,” writes Ahmet Kahraman for Yeni Özgür Politika.
Jews have played a significant role in the development of civilization. Judaism, as the Jewish religion of prophet Moses, is one of the oldest monotheistic “heavenly” religions. Jesus, the prophet of the Christian world, is also from the tribe of Moses. Judaism has many important parts to play in the “theology” and ”rituals” of Islam and also in the Bible …
But there are many enemies of this productive and creative people. They took the greatest hit from the Babylonian King Nakubudnezar. The Babylonians not only ”destroyed” and ”shared” their land, they exiled people from their homeland to the other parts of the world. Jews have been deterritorialised.
The Turks, who accuse the Israelis for persecuting the Palestinians today, did to the Armenians, the Greeks, the Assyrians similar to what the Babylonians did to the Jews, They have been doing the same to the Kurds for a hundred years.
However, the Jews were attached to their roots. They resisted destructive pressures, faithfully embracing their cultural and ethnic roots. In the 1800s, they planned the return to their homeland.
Their country was under Ottoman occupation at that time. (During the time of Sultan Abdulhamid) The slogan of “Down with Israel and Zionism” was inherited to the defenders of the Committee of Union and Progress of the Ottomans first and then to the Kemalists
After the World War II, when Jewish immigration to Israel began, there were no Ottomans and the Turks were weak. Some Arabs considered it as a religion (ummah) issue and sieged the Jews.
Today, the leader of anti-semitism is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who also created the Islamic State and al-Qaeda and plays for the leadership of the “Ihvan” (Muslim Brotherhood) ideology, which is the Arab version of Nazism. Chanting the slogan “Down with Zionism, Long Live Palestinian Freedom”, Erdoğan and his wife participate in “crying rituals” shouting on the squares that Israel is a state of ‘terrorism’ along with his ”immorality”, ”unjustness” and ”cruelty”.
But he never remembers what he did and does to the Kurds; on the contrary he justifies the cruelty against them.
Because killing and mass murdering the Kurds, burning their towns down cities is ligitimate for him, not defined by the laws, but by their own practice. No investigations have been opened for such atrocities committed against the Kurds. In this context, Recep Tayyip repeatedly announced the existence of the Kurds as a danger for the ”Turkish survival” (future). Referring “to the PKK” [Kurdistan Workers’ Party] instead of calling the name of the “Kurds”, he keeps giving the figures of the murdered Kurds.
They first thing they did in the occupied lands of Rojava [North East Syria] was to displace the Kurds from their homelands. Their property and possessions were confiscated. Kurdish language, culture and history were banned in schools. In the Kurdish homeland, traces of Kurds have been erased.
Iraqi Kurdistan has been occupied region by region. Vineyards, gardens, fields are prohibited to their owners. What more can I say to these Palestinian libertarians… All these happening to the Kurds are seen legitimate because those people are Kurds.
On the other hand, ”the wound of Palestinians” is another question for the Kurds. The Kurds also paid the price for the Palestinians and their cause. They didn’t act for the freedom of Palestinians because they were waiting for something in return. However, they did not deserve such words of ”There is no Kurdish question, we are against a Kurdish state,” spoken by the leader of the Palestinians Yasser Arafat. It was unexpected because he was also a liberation fighter of the people.
As for the Jews: There are also (Jewish) Kurds from the religion of Moses. Many of them sympathise with the Kurds. One of the district in Tel Aviv is called Kurdistan. Despite this, the Israeli state has always been problematic in practice. They also gave support to the Kurd’s enemies. They transfered the Turks weapons and war equipment for their interest.
However, Israel is not an “enemy” for the Kurds. Israel is a state that looks after its own interests and keeps their benefits first. Kurds do not position as an enemy towards anyone just because they did not help them in their cause.
Hezbollah [in Turkey], which killed the Kurdish freedom supporters, is affiliated with the Turkish state. It is clear that the “Down with Israel” rallies organised by Turkish state in Amed [Diyarbakır] and Van are of no interest of the Kurds. It is solidarity of the murderers.
As a final word: Recep Tayyip Erdoğan does not serve for the cause for Palestine, he never did. Only cause he has ever served is his own cause to maintain his own glory.
As a matter of fact, he went to his summer palace in Marmaris to enjoy the sea. As Palestine stands in the blood, he enjoys his holiday, swimming and taking sun on the sands brought from the Gulf of Aden. Palestine is only a figure for his interest and propaganda material for himself.
