GOG, the first Kurdish comic book for children, which takes its name from an ancient Kurdish children’s play known as “nine stones”, is online now. GOG is published in the Kurmanji and Zazakî dialects of Kurdish and has educational content for children in the 7-14 age group.
The Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, Imam Cici, said
that they aim to create an alternative and original medium for children who cannot receive education in their native language.
“We also provide an independent platform for Kurdish writers and illustrators to produce in their own language”, he said.
The e-magazine, which will be published monthly, is available at https://www.gog-weneroman.com/.
