The Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) have issued a programme in support of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (HDP’s) “Democratic Struggle Programme”. It will take place across eight cities in ten days.
The programme was finalized even as DTK-DBP-HDP representatives visited Gülistan Doku’s family in Tunceli (Dersim). Berdan Öztürk (DTK co-chair), Saliha Aydeniz (DBP co-chair), HDP co-chair and deputy responsible for organising Alican Önlü as well as Semra Güzel (an HDP MP) visited Gülistan Doku’s family.
The search for Gülistan Doku
The visit took place at Sarı Saltuk Viaduct, where Ayşegül Doku, sister of Gülistan (who has been missing since 5 January), informed them of the latest developments regarding the search operation. It had recently recommenced in Uzunçayır Dam Lake which passes under the Sarısaltık Viaduct.
As the water levels in the dam have been reduced to sixteen metres, the search area has been expanded to cover an area of three square kilometres and fifteen different fields. Fifteen divers from various cities are involved in the search operation.
According to media reports, at any one time, an eight divers team operates using three underwater robotic cameras.
