🔸 Germany, the EU, UN, UK, and the US have welcomed Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan’s call for PKK disarmament, seeing it as a crucial step toward resolving Turkey’s Kurdish issue.
🔸 Senior Kurdish leaders from northern Syria and Iraq have welcomed Abdullah Öcalan’s call for the PKK to disband, supporting a transition from armed struggle to political reconciliation.
🔸 Opposition leaders in Turkey have also reacted to Abdullah Öcalan’s call for the PKK to disband, criticising the government’s secrecy and urging an inclusive, parliamentary-led resolution to the Kurdish issue.
🔸 And Jan van Aken, co-chair of Germany’s Die Linke, has called for the PKK to be delisted and for Germany to take an active role in Turkish-Kurdish peace talks.
