📍Amid glimmers of hope, Syrian women are voicing their concerns about the lack of respect for their rights. While reports from Syria indicate signs of women being sidelined from the public sphere, Kurdish women in northeastern Syria have held demonstrations calling on the new Islamist rulers in Damascus to respect women’s rights.
📍In a significant military engagement, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Manbij Military Council repelled multiple attacks by Turkish-backed mercenaries in southeast Manbij, destroying vehicles and inflicting heavy casualties.
📍The people of Qamishli came together to pay tribute to six martyrs, including five SDF fighters and one civilian, in a heartfelt ceremony. The memorial highlighted the enduring resistance of North and East Syria’s communities against Turkish occupation and mercenary aggression.
