🔸 Kurdish Language Day was marked on 15 May by the National Congress of Kurdistan (KNK) and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, along with many other organisations and politicians across Kurdish regions.
🔸 Mesopotamia Foundation works with Kurdish speakers in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran to revitalise their language and folklore. To celebrate Kurdish Language Day, the foundation presented a decade of achievements.
🔸 In June, the Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan Campaign Committee is set to host global events to condemn the Kurdish leader’s isolation in Turkey and promote his ideas on women-led grassroots democracy and social ecology.
🔸 University professors and lecturers worldwide have been censored, sanctioned and fired for speaking out in condemnation of Israel’s ongoing invasion and ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip.
