On the anniversary of the 15 August 1984 first armed action by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party against Turkey, the Kurdish Communities Union has expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to Kurdish resistance over the decades.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has once again urged the international community to facilitate the initiation of legal proceedings to prosecute members of the Islamic State.
A series of early morning raids in Hakkari (Colemêrg) province in Turkey has resulted in the arrest of nearly 30 individuals, including women from the Peace Mothers group advocating for a peaceful resolution to the Kurdish question.
And video featuring Ali Awni, a senior Kurdistan Democratic Party official, in which he appears to endorse Turkish military actions in Iraqi Kurdistan, has led to a wave of condemnation.
