A total of 22 new indictments have been prepared against Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Republican People’s Party (CHP) MPs.
The aim is to lift the immunity of 10 HDP and 10 CHP deputies and prosecute them for “insulting the president”, “inciting public hatred and violence”, “slander” and “insulting with an audio, written or video message”, reports the Mesopotamia News Agency.
On 14 April another 10 indictments were prepared against eight CHP MPs and two HDP MPs, including CHP chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, and were submitted to parliament.
The names of the 10 CHP deputies whose indictments were sent to the Joint Commission are as follows:
