A guerrilla from the East Kurdistan Defence Units (YRK), Kemal Şaho, who was born in Avroman region, located within the provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah in western Iran and in the north-eastern Kurdistan Region of Iraq, has shared his perspectives about the attacks against Kurdistan and the Kurdish people.
“They want to break the will of the free Kurds with these attacks,” he said, regarding the latest operations of Turkey against the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) fighters in Iraqi Kurdistan. He added:
“We see an increase in attacks against our people and our country in all the four parts of Kurdistan. They want to assimilate and destroy our people using military and other special methods.”
“If you are not a collaborator Kurd, you become the target of the invaders. The occupying forces not only carry out military attacks. They attack our people and our geography in the political, social and, most importantly, cultural areas.” He also appealed to the Kurdish youth to support their struggle.
