A Turkish drone attack on Friday targeted an Asayish centre in Qamishli (Qamişlo), northeastern Syria, killing four members of the Internal Security Forces of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) and injuring another, North Press Agency reported.
The assault occurred amid an anti-Islamic State (ISIS) operation by the Asayish forces in Hawl (al-Hol) Camp. The operation, named Humanity and Security, involves the Asayish and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with support from the US-led Global Coalition, aiming to neutralise ISIS threats within the camp.
This incident follows a similar attack on 24 January, where a Turkish drone strike resulted in casualties among the Asayish on the road between Qamishli and Hasakah (Heseke).
