Turkey attacked Tel Rifaat city in the northeast of Aleppo with a kamikaze drone on Wednesday, killing three civilians and injuring six more, reported Hawar News Agency.
Fatima Othman Ma’mo, 21, Rashed Aliko, 28 and a third person were killed in the attack, Hawar said.
Hussein Murad Qrouki, 13, Manan Rashid Hussein, 57, Aged Fakhry Sheikho, 32, Samer Abd al-Qader Rasho, 31, and Zuhair Abd al-Rahman Mohammed, 36, suffered injuries during the attack, Hawar reported.
Turkey has launched frequent drone attacks on residential areas in northern Syria in recent months, as it ramps up preparations to launch a new full-scale military incursion in the region. Last week, a Turkish drone struck a UN-sponsored school in Hasakah, north Syria, killing four children.
The attack on Wednesday was launched shortly after Russia told Turkey that “new military action in Syria would be ‘unacceptable’.”
