The latest Turkish bombing of Ain Issa in Syria injured four children in the village of Qartaj (Qertac) on Tuesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said.
The four children, aged six, nine, 10 and 12, were all from one family, according to the Rojava Information Centre. Their mother was also injured. The family has been hospitalised at Raqqa National Hospital.
Eyewitnesses told Syrian news agency North Press that there was heavy Turkish shelling around Ain Issa on Tuesday night.
The shelling targeted the village of Mu’allaq, the Ain Issa refugee camp and the M4 highway northwest of the town.
The countryside of Ain Issa is frequently shelled by Turkish forces and their affiliated Syrian armed opposition factions, also known as the Syrian National Army, despite the signed ceasefire agreement in force there, North Press noted.
