A woman and two children have been injured in a Turkish bombing in Afrin (Efrîn) and Shahba (Şehba) Canton, while another man has died following separate shelling in the same region on Monday, according to the ANHA news website.
The Turkish army and its affiliated forces targeted a house in the village of Tanab, in the town of Shara in Afrin in Shahba Canton, wounding a woman and two children. The injured children were identified as Zaynab Faisal Junaid, aged four, and Ahmed Faisal Junaid, aged six, while the woman’s identity remains unknown.
Later on the same day, Turkish forces bombed the village of Deir Jamal, in the town of Sherawa in the Afrin countryside, injuring Mohammad Sadiq, a 30-year-old resident of Kafr Naseh. Sadiq was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after, according to local sources.
The recent bombings have intensified concerns about the safety of civilians in Afrin and Shahba Canton, as Turkish forces continue to target the area. The local population faces ongoing threats amidst the escalating conflict, with reports of further attacks and casualties.
