Ma Music Academy, established as a music school by music educators in Diyarbakır (Amed) in 2017, has now opened the Zarok Ma Music School, aiming to educate children between the ages of 0 and 5, with the slogan “Your Second Home”.
Representatives of community organisations, children’s families and other supporters of Zarok Ma attended the opening. Şêrko Kanîwar and Evin Dülek, educators of Zarok Ma, greeted the guests first in the Kurmanji and Dimilki dialects of Kurdish.
The opening of Zarok Ma was also celebrated with a concert featuring the Ma Music Orchestra. Hundreds of people attended the concert with their children in the garden of Zarok Ma, according to MA.
Ma Music Coordinator Şerko Kanîwar made a short speech and thanked those attending the concert, after which the Ma Music Orchestra performed, led by conductor Ramîn Rabiei.
The excitement of the Zarok Ma trainees, who were performing on stage for the first time in their lives, was palpable.
Songs were performed in the Sorani, Kurmanci and Dimilki dialects of Kurdish at the concert, and the participants were accompanied by ululations and applause in time to the music
