Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed mercenaries on Tuesday targeted the towns of Zirgan (Abu Rasin) and Tell Tamer with missiles and artillery shells, leaving casualties, reported North Press Agency.
The Zirgan district of northeastern Syria is just 2 km from the region controlled by Turkey and its affiliated mercenaries.
Whilst Melka Ehmed (30) and her mother Fesla Îd (60) were killed in the bombardment of Rebîat village, three children named Cûdî (4), Cûrî (11) and Ehmed Îd (8) were seriously wounded, according to ANF.
A citizen named Salih Hemîd El Hisên (60), who was taken to Al-Hasakah (Hesekê) Hospital, lost his life in the hospital, ANF reported.
Three Damascus government soldiers are also reported to have been injured during the bombardment.
Health workers could not easily reach the areas to provide medical aid to those injured due to the intense shelling.
Ehmed Mihemed El Faris (50) and a child named Hemda Faris were wounded in the bombardment of Til Werd village.
Many of those who were injured were reportedly taken to hospitals in Al-Hasakah and Qamishli (Qamislo).
The source of the shelling is reported to be the village of Bab El Xêr, which has been occupied by Turkish forces and mercenaries affiliated with Turkey.
The villages of Mehremla, Til Emir, Mezra and Til Werd, all located in the town of Zirgan have been the targets of the bombardment, which caused great damage to civilian property.
