Three explosions occurred across North East Syria on 2 January.
According to local sources, an explosion took place in Ras-al Ayn (Serekaniye) in North East Syria on 2 January.
A bomb-laden vehicle exploded close to where Turkish-backed mercenaries were based.
Five people lost their lives in the explosion and many were injured.
Afrin
Another bomb-laden vehicle exploded near a bakery in the district of Cinderes in Afrin.
Al-Hasakah
There was a third explosion in Al-Hasakah (Heseke) in North East Syria. According to the Mesopotamia Agency’s report, Difa Al Vatani forces threw a grenade towards Syrian regime forces in Al-Hasakah.
Two people died and seven were injured. It was reported that a child was among the deceased.
The name of the other victim is Ömer Hisên Mihemed (39).
