Prisoners in Mardin E-Type Closed Prison are holding an indefinite rotating hunger strike against the violations of rights in prisons. A new group of three people has taken over the indefinite rotating hunger strike against the arbitrary practices of the administration and the violations of rights in Mardin E-Type Closed Prison. Prisoners in Turkey have been carryıng out hunger strikes against the violations of rights in prisons for some time, MA reports.
The detainees list their demands as follows:
“We demand
*An end to the prison administration’s imposition of specific dormitories and its practices aimed at breaking the will of the detainees,
*The treatment of sick detainees and the timely arrangement of hospital referrals,
*Immediate abandonment of practices that do not comply with human dignity in the hospital referral processes,
*An end to the arbitrary decisions of the Administration and Observation Board, and the immediate release of detainees whose sentences have been completed
*And the restoration of our right to social activities, which were restricted during the period of the pandemic.
