The European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress, a European Kurdish association centered in Belgium, issued a statement for the upcoming Newroz demonstrations and events.
Greeting the ‘Newroz of the peoples around the world’ along with the Kurdish People and Abdullah Öcalan, The European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) called on the Kurdish people and their international friends to participate in Newroz events to be held in Europe as well as in Canada and Australia in during the course of the March.

The KCDK-E announced that the Newroz 2021 demonstration and events will be organised in various countries of Europe, Canada and Australia with the slogan of “Free Leadership, Free Kurdistan”.
“The fascism in Turkey, which is the enemy of the women, the Kurds and the democracy was defeated on Mount Gare,” said the KCDK-E.
The KCDK-E also stated that Kurdish people have begun 2021 as a year of resistance and the friends of Kurds have been giving strong support for the Kurdish struggle with their increasing participation on the anniversary of the Paris massacre and the 22nd anniversary of Abdullah Öcalan’s arrest
‘Newroz denotes resistance’
“Newroz is being greeted at a time where the occupiers are at their weakest and the Kurdish people and their friends are at their highest in terms of their moral and enthusiasm. Within this context, Newroz is welcomed with a spirit of ‘serhildan’ (‘resistance’). Newroz denotes resistance, liberation and revival,” said the KCDK-E..
“Let’s grow the international democratic unity of our struggle as Kurds and all resisting people, let’s enlarge the international action to break the isolation and to liberate Kurdistan, let’s free Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) on Newroz of 2021. Let’s end the occupation in Afrin (Efrin), Tell Abyad (Girê Spi) and Serekaniye (Ras al-Ayn),” ” the KCDK-E stated..
