In cooperation with the Kurdish Red Crescent, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) Health board organised a symposium on Monday 28 December, in the city of Qamishli.
The symposium was attended by the Co-Chair of the AANES Health Authority, Jwan Mustafa, The Co-Chair Of The Kurdish Red Crescent and many other local and international reporters.
The discussions were focused on the role of the media in being able to raise awareness about the seriousness of the Coronavirus pandemic.
During the symposium, Jwan Mustafa also said that there have been ongoing discussions between the (AANES) and World Health Organisation about the possibility of receiving COVID-19 vaccines for the region.
The AANES Health Board announced on Monday, that 43 new coronavirus infections have been recorded in northeast Syria.
