The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) has issued a strong condemnation of the assaults carried out by Turkey and Iran against the Kurdish people.
In a message to the Free Women’s Society of Eastern Kurdistan (KJAR), RAWA highlighted the resistance of the Kurdish people, particularly women, against this aggression. They asserted that the Kurdish women’s struggle and revolution have become a source of inspiration for all women in the Middle East.
RAWA’s message stressed the intent for Afghan and Kurdish women to collaborate in countering these attacks. They noted that Turkey’s assaults on the Kurds are not a new occurrence, pointing out the country’s long history of targeting Kurdish communities and Kurdish female fighters.
RAWA criticised the global silence on these issues, expressing solidarity with the Kurdish cause. They specifically denounced the execution of four male Kurdish prisoners by the Iranian regime, emphasising their support for the Kurdish women’s fight against oppression and occupation.
