The 2nd Judiciary Workshop regarding crimes against humanity was held in Afrin (Efrîn) on 30 January to announce a report on human rights violations that have occurred in the city since March 2018.
According to the report, 943 people were kidnapped or murdered in that time, while 700 were tortured.
Announcing the report, Afrin Human Rights Organisation chair İbrahim Şêxo spoke about the assaults of Turkey and Turkish-backed mercenaries, drawing attention to the fact that heavy weapons, tanks and fighter jets were used during the attacks.
Noting an ethnic genocide was being carried out in Afrin, Şêxo said international laws were also violated.
