The people of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor (Dêrazor) held marches to protest against Turkey’s attacks on Rojava in northeastern Syria and to give support to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Turkey has launched new military operations in Rojava despite an agreement signed with the US on 17 October 2019 in Ankara and with Russia on 22 October 2019.
Military assaults have intensified around the strategically important city of Ain Issa and surrounding villages in Rojava.
Turkey and Turkish-backed mercenaries have been targeting the Kurdish-controlled town of Ain Issa in Rojava and its surrounding villages since 18 November 2020.
