Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party has highlighted the Turkish government’s responsibility in exploiting ISIS against the Kurds in Rojava, especially following the recent attack in Moscow.
In response to the brutal attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, DEM Party Co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan urged global unity against ISIS. “We strongly condemn the attack in Russia, claimed by ISIS, and extend our deepest sympathies to the victims’ families and the people of Russia. This inhumane act calls for solidarity and a united front against ISIS,” they stated.
“We remind everyone of the responsibility held by forces that have attempted to use or provided space for ISIS against the Kurds in Rojava. Peace and stability for the peoples of the world can only be achieved through inter-communal dialogue and a collective struggle against ISIS and its ilk,” the DEM Party co-chairs added.
