People have continued to react unfavourably to the nature of relations between the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Turkish state.
Peace Mothers from Hakkari (Colemêrg) and Kurds living in Aleppo voiced concerns about the KDP’s policies. The Peace Mothers have urged the KDP to consider peace and dialogue with the PKK, and have laid their scarves on the ground as a symbolic gesture urging Kurdish national unity. Residents from the neighbourhoods of Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiyê in Aleppo in Syria also criticized the partnership of the KDP with the Turkish state and stated that it does not serve the interests of the Kurdish people.
