The Asayish (Internal Security Forces) of North and East Syria announced on Wednesday that Turkey has initiated a series of air raids in northeastern Syria against various targets, including infrastructure, service facilities, and fuel and petrol stations.
The security forces stressed that the attacks have had a direct impact on areas inhabited by civilians. Specific locations mentioned include the vicinity of the Washokani camp in Ras al-Ayn (Serêkaniyê), rural Hasakah (Hesekê), temporary home of many displaced individuals, and the village of Mushairfah (Müşerfat El-Hamma) in northwestern Hasakah, where three civilians were injured.
Further, the statement listed affected areas such as the vicinity of Çil Axa Dam in Qamishli (Qamişlo) canton, and the village of Xarab Ask on the M4 international highway in southeastern Kobani (Kobanê), where two civilians were killed. Other affected areas include villages in Kobani, Tell Tamer (Til Temir), and rural Hasakah, as well as the area near petrol depots in the village of Kardahol, southwest of Tirbespiye (Tirbespî / Al-Qahtaniyah) district.
The AANES added that targeting service buildings will have adverse effects on general welfare and constitutes war crimes.
The Asayish called on the public to persist in defending their regions and to raise their voices to call a halt to Turkish aggression.
