The leader of Turkey’s secular main opposition Republican People’s Party Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has been under attack since a photo was shared on social media showing him stepping on a prayer rug with his shoes on.
Of the 11 male and two female prisoners who have died in prisons in Turkey since the beginning of 2023, four died of illness and three of gunshot wounds, while the remainder died in suspicious circumstances, the Human Rights Association announced on Saturday.
