Turkish officials have renewed threats of a ground incursion into North and East Syria, saying that Turkey will be ready to launch the operation in only a few days. The officials also stated that they intend to take Manbij, Kobane and Tel Rifat in order to link occupied territories along their border.
Turkey has continued to carry out out intensive air strikes across the region. In the early hours of the 27th November, aerial attacks targeted Kurdish forces and Assad’s Syrian Armed Forces near Aleppo, killing five regime soldiers.
On the seventh anniversary of prominent Kurdish lawyer and human rights defender Tahir Elçi’s high-profile murder, his wife Türkan Elçi called for justice, and for peace.
