Protesters in Turkey took to the street to condemn the Turkish government’s globally-criticised decision to jail a number of public figures for their alleged role in 2013 Gezi protests.
Meanwhile, former UK Shadow Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn added his voice to those criticising Turkey for their ongoing invasion of Iraqi Kurdistan, spotlighting the UK Government’s role in selling arms to Turkey.
Turkey’s invasion is set to result in permanent military bases established deep within Iraqi territory, a pro-government newspaper has indicated.
