After the meeting on 20 March with six-party opposition alliance CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, HDP officials are expected to decide whether to field their own presidential candidate or to support the alliance by withdrawing from elections.
Following days of uncertainty, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in Syria announced on Friday that two of its helicopters had crashed due to bad weather conditions in Iraqi Kurdistan’s northern city of Duhok, and that nine fighters from its counter-terrorism units had been killed.
According to journalist İsmail Saymaz, Turkey’s Disaster Relief Authority sent a message to the Turkish Armed Forces on 7 February at 4.13 p.m. local time asking for search and rescue teams for the earthquakes on the 6 February.
Some 50,096 people died and 107,204 others were injured in Turkey in the 6 February earthquakes that hit the country’s southern provinces, the head of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on Monday.
