In Turkey, a former member of the HDP, Gülser Yıldırım, has been released from prison after completing her sentence. Yıldırım, alongside then HDP co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ were arrested in 2016 on charges of terrorist propaganda.
A car exploded in Sinjar in northern Iraq late on Tuesday, leading to four casualties in what has been reported as either a suicide bomb attack or a Turkish drone strike.
