The HPG released footage on Tuesday showing two guerrillas in the mountains in Iraqi Kurdistan suffering extreme symptoms after a reported chemical weapons attack by Turkey. The pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party called on international agencies to act on the extensive body of evidence for Turkey’s use of chemical weapons.
A senior Kurdish poitician Aldar Xelil spoke to Hawar News on Tuesday to discuss the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) capture of areas in northeast Syria’s Afrin from Turkish-backed rebels, arguing that despite appearances the Islamist group’s takeover was strategically useful for both Turkey and the Syrian Government. Nevertheless, Xelil urged Damascus not to be “fooled by Erdoğan’s words”
The Rojava commune have released a song in memory of two Kurdish women, Jîna Amini and Nagihan Akarsel, in solidarity with those protesting the theocratic regime in Iran, and also in support of the anti-patriarchy worldwide “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” or “Women, Life, Freedom” movement.
