Turkish officials heavily criticised Sweden over viral footage of an Erdoğan mannequin hung in protest outside Stockholm city hall. The Turkish President responded by reminding Sweden of its need for Turkey’s NATO backing. Turkey has demanded the extradition of 130 people from Sweden and Finland.
An MP from Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party has called for the annihilation Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s opponents in Germany, during a speech on 13 January.
The Defence Committee for Abdullah Öcalan in North and East Syria drew attention to the unlawful isolation and prison conditions of the founding leader of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party, who has been imprisoned on Turkey’s İmralı island since 1999.
Mithat Sancar of Pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party announced on Monday that the party has lodged an application asking Turkey’s Constitutional Court to adjourn the closure case against the HDP until after the elections.
