People of North and East Syria took the streets to celebrate International Workers’ Day. Celebrations were held in various cities, including Aleppo, Qamishli, Amuda, Al-Qahtaniyah, Derik, Tell Tamer and Raqqa.
Participants also protested Turkey’s attacks on the Medya Defence Zones in Iraqi Kurdistan.
Thousands gathered in the streets. They recited the ideas of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Ocalan against the exploitation of labour and oppression in the Middle East. “Through Democratic Confederalism we will build a new world,” they said.
