Makhmour (Maxmûr) refugee camp in Iraqi Kurdistan was targeted by a Turkish drone missile strike on Tuesday.
While no fatalities were reported, the attack caused material damage.
In a statement after the attack, the Self-Defence Forces Command of the camp urged the international community, the United Nations, and human rights institutions to raise their voices against ongoing attacks on the refugee camp and to take the required action to stop crimes against humanity being committed by Turkey.

About 12,000 people live in the refugee camp which is located about 60 kilometres southwest of Hewlêr (Erbil).
Most of the residents were forced to leave their villages in the Kurdish-majority provinces of Turkey in the 1990s due to repression and forced evacuation of settlements.
Makhmour is under the protection of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
